I’m sure this topic has been covered many times but I’ve just bought a 111r and have read you can remap the ecu so the rev pick up comes in at 5500 revs instead of 6200 ish with a little more torque,I presume a few people that have done this and many companies seem to offer ecu remaps, anyone know the best people to go to?thanks

These I have found are very nice to deal with and they even have a link to what you would like to do. Note: "We will send your ECU to Lotus for the reflash - please allow a week for this to be carried out."

Did you have any luck? Allon White said they can no longer do it and advised me to call Silverstone. I emailed Hanger111 but haven't had a reply.

You’re best ringing Hangar111 as they are quite busy and email responses can be a little hit and miss. Check they haven’t replied and gone to spam also as this happened to me a lot

Got it done today by Elliot KIng of Kingmaps…took just over an hour, way better…smoother with more low end torque and changed the second cam to 5700 revs, way more pleasant to drive as you don’t need the thrash the arse off it to maintain a nice pace…highly recommended..the actual remap is programmed by quantum and installed by any of their dealers..my local one was Elliot.

That's good to know! Especially as they're not too far from me.

Without wishing to be rude, may I ask roughly how much the reflash costs? TIA smile

That does seem good value - next time it's in for a service i'll ask about getting it done!

does anyone know if you can swap ecu's onto the same car without having to have any dealer intervention to 'pair' it?

i have a federalised 111R, bought an ecu which already had this flash tune on it as it was cheaper/easier than sending my ecu away. only the car won't even make a start attempt with that ecu. a google suggests it should be possible, so just wanted to check the basics before i look at whether i've been sold a dud.
