Me neither, the little Nazi cnuts round here scratch my car doing that and rub their furry little arses all over my roof. The poor car looks like a frickin' merkin half the time.

If anyone can get hold of something that cats utterly hate but won't harm the car please, please email me.

B@ST@RDS the lot of 'em!

I was thinking more along the lines of battery acid mate - I don't want the little sods getting caned on the roof and tucking into whiskers biscuits or something. Cat hair, scratches and crumbs... now THAT would be taking the p!ss!

Are the cats tasty?

Try getting a supersoaker, fill it with the really cheap own brand lemonade then put it in the fridge until a moggy apears in the garden. Give it a bloody good hose down with chilled sugar solution and it will never come back.

It will spend about a week cleaning itself if you are a good shot!

Rub some ground pepper into the soft top. It wont damage the soft top but will stop cats from going on it.

I don't know if it is available over on your side of the pond but can be found here in any pet supply store. It is Applebitter. You spray it on your car top and the cats will stay away. May take a couple of applications before the idea sticks in their little heads, but it does work. The stuff has very little smell to us but cats hate it. Also will not stain the top.

This REALLY pi$$es me off. If my dog damages some one elses property or wonders off and causes trouble I am then in TROUBLE. When I take my dog for a walk, I have to take crap bags and pick it all up. Cats can crap on anything they like. Why in gods name is a cat allowed to do whatever it likes and you are in trouble if you ask your neighbour to stop thier cat. I know many methods to stop a cat, but persistent cats will "disapear".

Untill the owners take responsibility for cats in the same way as I have to take full responsibility for my dog, I consider them to be a dangerous wild animal and unwelcome. If they persist in causing damage and the owner does not want to take responsibility, I consider them a "target".

A guy I knew was having trouble with his neighbours cat crapping in his garden, climbing on the cars in the drive etc...
One warm day after cleaning the car he left the doors open to air the interior, went away , came back and the cat had climbed into the car and went to sleep. When he spotted the cat he very carefully closed the door went for a drive and now the cat lives in Fife.
Needless to say the neighbours were distraught, however being a nice guy he did help with the search!

That is a lovely cat, funny when they sit with their tongues out.

If someone hurt my cat, they would seriously regret it.

I too have a cat. A huge male silver tabby. If I found out that someone had hurt him, that person would wish they had never been born. I've always found that humans with tins of paint stripper tend to cause more damage to cars that any Cat.

If however, my cat did damage someone's property, and the aggrieved party spoke with me about it, I would happily come to an arrangement regarding compensation or appropriate recompense.

I should also point out that Cats are property. An attack on a cat (or a dog) is criminal damage and is an arrestable offence.
