Hey Bigpt,

I’m not the same size or build as you but my friend who’s 2.02 and 115 kg has been in my Elise and driven it.

He wasn’t very comfortable inside it but we both agreed that all he needed was a removable steering wheel set closer to his chest because in the stock steering wheel position, the wheel was touching his knees. His shoe size is 48 or 50 and he was fine with the pedals.

It also depends how wide you are at the hip - my elise (an early s2) has a somewhat narrow seat base but it might be different in more recent elises. I know elises are tough to find for sale in Portugal, is there any particular version you’re looking for?

Good evening,

Thanks for your help!
i was only inside a S3 and i feel more confortable on passenger side because seat is fixed and seems lower then the driver seat.
Probably the first step would be to fix the drivers seat directly on the chassis.
I would prefer a S2 but in Portugal supply is very narrow so you have to live with what you can find our otherwise import from EU.
Altought aparently the chassi didn't change in size i was trying to understand if there are some interior changes that makes one of the series roomier then the other.
When you are my size there are lots of nice cars you can't get inside like S2000, Mx-5, Z3M coupe....dificult life!!!!

I might be wrong but I don't think there are any changes in interior space between the s2 and s3 models, so you could probably just look for the one you prefer (in this case an s2) and get the seat as far back as possible + the removable steering wheel and hopefully it'll be ok! Such a shame you can't enjoy those other cars too, but I hope you'll fit inside an elise.

As for supply, it's true that elises are hard to find over there so I'd keep an eye out on the spanish/ french/german market cars and maybe import one to Portugal?

I think a k-series elise costs less than 2k to import into portugal from what I understand (excluding transport and agency fees) so it might be worth considering.

If not, then maybe an Evora would have a bit more room inside (never tried one but a friend of mine had one and described it as a more grown up elise!)
