S2 Elise Gull Wing

Hi all

I have always wanted a gull-wing/T bar roof for my S2 and, as they don't appear for sale... ever, I thought I would look into building one.

I could get a one-off made, but figured a limited production run could be a thing, although the chap I am talking to about the production does keep telling me it will be silly expensive. I honestly think he is trying to talk me out of it!

Before I go down this route, does anybody have one we could take a mold off?

Alternatively - is there anybody from Production Glassfibre/Autostyle/Middlemore out there who knows where the original molds are!?

Have you posted on lotustalk? It’s US based, a google find recent threads including one guy who’s trying to make a complete roof from parts he has obtained, maybe worth messaging him.

can you get me a solid roof panel - can butcher it to create T-tops/gulls pretty easily.

Have seen a couple for sale on SELOC over the tears. Try a wanted ad on there

He does a lot of GRP for lotus / vx220 so might be able to help

the difficulty is in making the underside where it joins the windscreen etc. but if you have one already to simply be moulded from, then making it and the the t-top is a cynch. I have made a few bits from FG in the past and just started a company doing it!

Good news! Have found the T bar bit of a roof so just need the panels that go in it. Anybody got one I can copy!?
