thanks Nathan,

drove down to pick the car up with my dad yesterday and finally picked up the car at about 4 and didn't get back to glasgow until 11pm. totally knackered and i still hadn't got to drive my new toy as my dad had driven it back up (he's not insured for my company car). Cheeky git kept slowing down to 60pmh on the motor way then putting the foot down and buggering off into the distance!

i got up at 5am this morning to have a little bit of fun and that's me just into the office at 8am, big smile on my face!

can anyone tell me what temperature range the car should be sitting at? mines at about 91 on the motor way and 97 in town? is this ok? also the temp doesn't register until it's above 75 - normal?

anyway thanks again dude, hope the bankers draft didn't bounce!

Well done.

Yes the Stack temp display doesnt come on until everything has warmed up.

The other temps seem fine

Have fun

Congrats

Some one else to wave at in the Glasgow area! If u see a ruby red 2001 s2 with bald bloke driving that i'll be me give a wave.

Whats the spec etc of yours?

As for temp your not far out. Mine sits bang on 87 when in constant moving traffic. Sit for a while and it will creep. At 102 the fan cuts in so no probs unless the fan doesn't cut in and temp goes much beyond 102.

Enjoy it

Ninja, I saw you today! Parked round from our showroom on Woodside Terrace. Car looked V shiny and clean..... I'd get those plates swapped though, for the sake of a 30squid fine. You work round here?

I guess that's the only bad thing I have to say about the car - the plate looks like it belongs on a Saxo

plates were swapped at lunchtime yesterday for my private reg

yeah i work along woodside terrace just where my car was parked. i was in your showroom a couple of months ago when you had the silver elise but unfortunatelly by the time i got there you had a buyer coming over from ireland

car has a few rattles what i'll try and track down over the next week or so. there's a rattling from the drivers side, possbily the door or something behind me. the door doesn't appear to be slack tho!? any ideas?

also the passengers window stops just shy of the roof and that'll let in water - so i'll take it to bits tomorrow and see what i can do about that.

Ah ninja, you are confused - I work on Woodside Crescent (where my car is parked in my profile pic) not in Scottish Motor services round the corner. I'm no car salesman!

As a side note, what you doing about parking from Monday?

Spied your car again just there on my way in to work round the corner with new plates, nice....

Yup, is a bit nasty you cant miss the tape! I have been driving it as much anyway, even tho its looking a bit fooked! It was a single track blind corner and a corsa hit me right in the middle of a blind bend, bad luck. The bodyshop called me just there and the parts arrived today so it will be sorted next week. It was a low speed one and yes its easy to fix, but not cheap - new clam and painting makes it a few grand!

Our showroom is the one where my car is normally parked (if I bring it in to work), if your passing and see anyone in the hallway its probably me!

that is a very nice colour.. and does anyone else prefer the early s2's with 'lotus' written across the badge instead of the lotus badge?
