Exige S2 Water Leak

Got in the car tonight and noticed a small water stain along the thin black ledge behind the seats. Seemed to have come in via the driver's side as didn't reach the passenger side. Carpet behind the seat wasn't wet.

Anyone else had any probs? I don't have a garage but don't expect a 30k fixed roof car to leak under any circs. Aftercare service due soon so will be stomping into the dealership!

would it not be possible to purchase some waterproof sealant from halfords or something (not that you should have too on a 33k car right enough) i.e just run it around the edges of the roof.

As Davey_s1 pointed out, I had a recent thread on this subject. Sounds like my leak was much worse than yours .

I'm off down to my dealer on Friday for them to identify the source. Going to demand a full new set of carpets too - the original carpets are ruined.

Going to take it back to Williams - wasn't sure if Cardiff dealer was fully up and running yet. Maybe I should give them a call then.

Yep they are up and running and were very helpful and efficient with my first service and the Stage 2.

Plus you can also have a wander around the showroom and drool at the Astons! (better than looking at the mundane Saab's in Williams!)

Dont know to be honest mate. My first service was free (just had to pay for oil & filters)

The Stage 2 was £490 to supply & fit.

I wouldnt imagine that there would be much, if any, difference between any of the main dealers.

When the car is under warranty I dont mind paying main dealer prices so much as long as you get the service to go with it and so far Stratstones have been very good.
