Just Bought 2020 410 Sport
Discussion
I hope you were able to test drive it. They're a proper experience and not your average road car.
So, if you are going to track it then you'll need a track exhaust. Speak to Jim at 2bular on that front.
If you're not going on track then you're going to love the noise. It's bonkers and addictive.
Upgrades wise...... It's got most cool stuff from lotus fitted as standard..... which is fairly minimalist. Although, those minimalist bits come largely from the Cup 430. J-Hook brakes, Nitron 3 way suspension, forged alloys and lots of carbon. It's got the baffled sump and gearbox cooler too.
On mine I've fitted the AiM MX2E dash and done a fast road / track geo. That's pretty much it for the road.
For the track I've fitted a Seriously Lotus harness bar, Schroth harnesses and fire safety kit.
There's more carbon trinkets out there if you feel flush, but I'd advise you just go out and enjoy it. Lots of polishers in the Lotus community, not so many drivers. They're designed to be enjoyed
Ps. I looked at that car in 2019. It's a cracking colour.

Cool thanks i'll make sure the set up is spot on and get the fast road setup done. It won't get much if any track work as I have a slicks and wings sports prototype for thatSo, if you are going to track it then you'll need a track exhaust. Speak to Jim at 2bular on that front.

From my research of the models it does seem like the 410 already has all the bits you want already and i'm looking forward to the noise so I won't dull it down. I was pleasantly surprised at the 3 way Nitrons being standard
Yes plenty of driving and fun is the plan

I did contemplate this one as well but the colour was a bit marmite, think the Plum is better. I offered the dealer 65k on the Gold one with a deposit there and then but he refused to give a penny, too much of their own importance for my liking. Parkway were much more obliging that Sytner! So, if you are going to track it then you'll need a track exhaust. Speak to Jim at 2bular on that front.

Congrats on the plum car, looks decent! I’ve been bidding on the autumn gold one too, I’ve been to see the car, made an offer but they don’t budge an inch.https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11242411?c...

Offered 65k in the end and still they said no, I hope they get stuck with it Lol
Made me laugh even at full price they were dictating I had to collect by Wednesday,In the end I politely said you are pissing me off I'll go elsewhere thanks, they then tried to tell me I would find another 2020 car anywhere near the price of theirs, poor Sytner, Fools
In the end I wouldn't buy off them out of principle

Congrats on the purchase. Hope you enjoy it.
I’ve also been watching the market carefully. Unfortunately for me, purple and green are my two least favourite colours so I never pursued either of those.
I actually thought to myself ‘I wish I liked purple, as that car would be perfect’.

I had the buy by Wednesday or the epic deal expires ultimatum too lol The gold colour looks much nicer in person than photos suggest tbh. The car was listed for private sale at 62k in January by someone who needed the car gone quickly from what I’ve read. So I had a mental block about going over 65k with SytnerOffered 65k in the end and still they said no, I hope they get stuck with it Lol

I’ve gone back into the company car scheme at work so I was trying to px my Tesla 3 performance against it. I’ll keep looking, no rush!

Sadly Sytner have a bit of a reputation for being strange in negotiating to sell used cars whether they are main dealers for them or otherwise....a good friend sold an M135i to them about 18 months ago and it sat around for nearly 3 months before they eventually listed it at about £1k more than they’d paid him for it! Sytner have quite a strict stocking policy and if the used cars don’t get sold within a set period of time they can often just load them on to a transporter and stick them through the auction if they can’t sell them retail.Gassing Station | Elise/Exige/Europa/340R | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
