Like other's have said, it's all about being part of the community. I initially wasn't sure whether Lotus drivers did the whole waving thing, but it was always second nature in the MG. However, within days of picking up the car, I was heading to Demon Tweeks to pick up my helmet, and I spotted my first "other" Elise, a blue S2, whose driver waved furiously as he passed on the other side of the road
. It became habit after that!
