After what seemed like forever but was actually 4 months, my 410 Sport 20th Anniversary has arrived. A thing of beauty imo. Still getting to know it, have only done 100 miles mainly thanks to rubbish weather. Taking it easy but I can feel the power available.
Early impressions:
Wonderful colour, looks deep and rich in low light, and brilliant orange in the sunshine.
The exterior CF really suits it.
The loud button is brilliant.
CF seats are great, they grip you and are far more comfortable than my old VX220 or current Noble.
Gear ratios are much closer than I’m used to, even on the Noble. Gear change is great once it’s warmed up - precise and smooth.
Handling is brilliant, can’t wait to get some warmth into the tyres.
Great to have the engine in the rear view. Can’t see much else.
Will at Castle Lotus was great to deal with.
It’s a different world from the Gallardo it’s replaced, more agile obviously, requires more concentration, feels faster, the noise is less melodic, much more raw and at least as loud. It’s already had (even) more attention than the Lambo.
Looking forward to drier warmer weather...
Couple of slightly blurry pics
Collection day at Castle
At Hethel waiting to be collected
And gone but not forgotten

Do like that colour. Very different to a Gallardo but if you care about the dynamics of driving and excitement you`ll struggle to better it without significant compromises.
Completely agree. Even driving quite tamely for 100 miles or so, it’s already taken excitement to a new level. Manages to make this thing seem almost subdued...SarlechS said:
lovely spec! surprised you made that comment about the noble! always figured they were just as hardcore as the exiges..
Ah, well I did say "almost"!! The Noble is definitely hardcore and more old school, no TCS, no ABS, not even electric windows. Mine's only running 395bhp which is plenty for me, but there's a few out there with 700+. Interesting move. When I return to the U.K. I’m looking to add a weekend toy and keep the Aston as a GT/more everyday car. Two choices are really an S3 exige or early Gallardo. Very different cars but not dissimilar price point. Interesting to see someone that has moved from gallardo to exige.

Not sure of your budget but you're probably looking at a new or newish Exige vs a Gallardo that'll be 12-plus years old. Mine was an '07 and was properly cossetted (and is still for sale at Castle I think) but some of them have lived hard lives. Running costs are very different to the Exige too. Its a nice choice to have, and they're both great, I loved the Lambo and I love the Exige so I'm no good at helping you decide.
