My EXIGE V6 battery has died, wouldn’t even unlock the doors. How do I find/access the battery?

If you previously locked the car with the key fob putting the physical key in the lock won't open the door. You can gain battery access through the front cover on the top of the front clam. This should pop off with a "bonnet" style latch in the middle of the car nearest the windscreen - you have to kind of reach in for this. To the side of this panel there are some rubber mounted pins either side. Once you have that panel off you will see a red battery +ve terminal and a ground. These are located to the right as you stand at the front of the car and look towards the back. You can connect a battery charger to this for a while to get the driver's door open and then open the rear boot to locate the battery over to the LHS behind a "Velcrod" upright plastic cover. Pull that whole cover away which will expose the battery and some fuses.
Hope that helps...

Excellent! I aim to charge mine up every 2 weeks or so if not driving although I try to drive it weekly throughout the year.

This is why I always used to lock both doors with the key and not central locking in case the battery fails

As the weather gets cold, my battery won't even hold charge for a week if the car isn't used, so is connected to a battery conditioner/charger.

Just out of interest, how old is the battery?
