Federer, is the safest bet, he has been improving match by match, this is the sign of a player working up to peak on the day of the final. This is bad for anyone who gets in his way. If he hits form no one will touch him.
Been up there today and watched Roddick practice before his match today, he will hurt players with his serve, but isnt as strong at coming foward to the net, so is limited in his options, if the serve is working it could come down to a few points in a tiebreak, where anything is possible.
Hewitt will only beat Federer if he is hitting the lines on every thing, he cant live with Rogers power so will wait for him to make his move in each point and rely on making his passing shots/lobs and the other player hitting loads of unforced errors.( for example, at last years US Open final Federer hit form and hewitt only won 5 points in the first set) Hewitt needs Roger to have a bad day to win.
Johannsen is an outside bet but cant see it happening.

not so sure dont follow them that much. The sensible money would be on davenport and Sharapova, Mauresmo has a habit of doing well and chokeing when the pressure is on, and williams thinks she is a TV star more than a player now, its a bit of a joke as is the way she has been playing for the last few years. Its a harder one to call, Ill go for a Davenport vs Sharapova final, but too close to call with confidence, I saw lindsay playing Kim Klyjsters in Paris, lindsay looked crap for a set and a half but then just seemed to start picking up points and won in three.
Personally i think it will come down to who is up for it on the day, in all three matches as none stand out.

Just think what Just1 has done for you. You no longer have to watch the tennis, if you remember what he has written you can sound knowledgable and expert in the subject and we all know the girls down the pub glaze over when you start talking about "el Beast II" or even better, Gooby's 111r. You can now be a tennis expert and far less boring. You may even pull

OK, lets get this straight:
- I never watch tennis
- I never want to sound knowledgeable or expert on that subject - IMvHO it's a sport for dweebs
- Most of the birds I know think Elise's are great but when I talk to them about El Beast it has nothing to do with the car
- Being a tennis expert and being boring, to me almost entirely go hand-in-hand.
My pulling rate over the last 2 months has been of top form mate, even if I do say so myself... and that has nothing to do with Tennis or Elises!
Sorry Sworks, but its what i do for a living. Not just a hobbie. You might change your mind if you saw some of the girls that i have to work with!!! The job does have its plus points.
I must say also that i tend not to talk about it much unless you ask me, Its a great escape to hang out with other friends away from the job, and talk about other things.
I personally would not bet on a tennis match because i know from my playing days ,how no matter how good you are you (or think you are), it can still all go very wrong, usually when you least want it to!!
You are also right in saying the average tennis fan can be a bit of a geek, but i usually hang out with ex players, who on the whole are ok.
