Been doing some Lotus mooching for a while and driven both V6 Exige and Evora a while and really liked them. Still looking around and have come across a possible RGB Exige that will come up for sale.

Anyone got experiences to be able to compare the S2 260 drives in comparison? Or any other thoughts in fact!

Cheers

I’ve got an RGB Exige and owned various S1/S2 Elise and S2 Exige models but have no experience of the V6 versions. A lot will depend on what you will use it for. Might be better registering and asking on SELOC. One thing that might be worth considering is that there were only ever 55 RGB’s registered in the UK.

I have one in at the moment they aren't any different from a regular 260 other than having all the packs and forged wheels. The rarity and being a 2010my car make them very desirable. I would say just as desirable as a cup.

I moved from an Exige S2 Sprint 260 to a 350 Sport last year

They really are quite different so depends what you are looking for

The S2 in my opinion is slightly more engaging to drive, more fun round country roads and you can move right through the revs using all available power

The V6 is definitely better put together with less rattles and such. Out right power is far more impressive and will push on at higher speeds far easier than the 260 S2. The noise of the V6 is absolutely fabulous

Horses for courses and all that I absolutely love my V6 but really enjoyed the S2 as well. Not an easy decision between the two but I can’t resist the power and noise of the V6 myself

Thanks that's probably the dilemma I'm thinking about. I suspect that 260bhp is plenty for my use and having a slightly smaller maybe nimbler car might suit me. But what about the exhaust noise and the bhp of the V6? biggrin

Jim Valentine from 2bular made an exhaust for my Elise R , and my wife now calls my Chrome Orange Lotus my mini- Murcielago .

A call to Jim might sort out your concern about the 260RGB,s music cf the V6,s .
