Highlights from yesterday's very hot, somewhat frustrating, but generally very good track day at Goodwood yesterday with Lotus on Track.

My car was too noisy even with the extended track day silencers fitted, so I was having to either short shift, lift or feather the throttle past the 3 noise meters to avoid being chucked off the day which compromised my speed.

On the plus side, I got plenty of clear track and the driving etiquette was excellent.The car was working well.

Which cans have you got Andy? 300 or 350mm?

I’ll need to check, but I think 350mm.

If it is the 350mm cans, maybe get Jim to repack them. Mine does ok at Goodwood. It's only close at one corner, but never over.

So Silverstone yesterday.

First of all I got the car corner weighted & the geo sorted







Then I got out on circuit

It was my first time at Silverstone in a car for several years & it took me a while to get back in the groove. Then the rain came









It was also my first day with RMA Track Days. Wow there was some serious kit & some fast drivers there.

Excellent mate, good to hear you got the car set up too. What settings did they dial in out of interest, and did you notice much difference?

The car is much better on turn in now. As you'll be aware they are set up for a bit of under steer from the factory.
