No front numberplate

can anyone help me i would wondering if anyone knew the laws on front number plates - do you have to legally have one, as moterbikes dont. so i was wondering if i needed to have one on my lotus exige

Legally you are meant to have one, and have it on the car. Not everybody does though as they are prone to be caught and pulled off. I have mine in the boot at the moment.
