Anything obvious to check on a 1 owner FSH car ?

Sadly not blown, but I cant quite reach that far....

Used to be fully up to speed on theses, but Caterham ownership has dulled my knowledge......

Possibly maybe thinking PXing the Cat for one....

Are they likely to hold money as well as the Cat ?

Sorry, can’t help with what to look for, I did drive a couple before buying an S3 Elise a few years ago, the ones I drove didn’t feel as well screwed together as the S3, had more rattles, although drove well.
I would have thought they would hold their money better than a 7, purely because they aren’t making them anymore.

S2 Exiges of all types have gained a bit of dosh up until around a year ago - most getting to around the point of their original sale price. They seem to have taken a bit of a hit recently as the S3 cars have come down into a similar price range.

I think they're still a pretty safe place to put your money though.

Things to check, usual chassis damage - bent pickup points etc can be very had to repair. Fibreglass isn't particularly difficult to get repaired if it's got a few aesthetic knocks though.

You can save yourself a lot of money over the longer run if you can find one which has had the following done:

- Front radiator swapped for an all aluminium one (with other front-clam refurb stuff like toe post, light brackets and heater fan speed resistor pack)
- Baffled sump and rear toe-link upgrade if planning to track it
- Seats with harness holes if you want to fit harnesses. Shouldn't really use them with the 'normal' seats and they're still a fairly expensive upgrade even if you manage to land some second hand seats (£1400ish usually).

Will Blackman is a well respected seller in the Lotus world. I'm sure it will be a great car. Certainly a very good price, very unlikely to go down in value as every year a few are crashed

I noticed that Jon Seal is advertising a supercharged car for just a little more if it's of interest. I have no connection to Jon other than him selling me my Exige and have to say he was fantastic to deal with and very genuine.
