I have always wanted. Lotus Elise, and after doing some reading of posts and links here, I think I want a 220 Sport.

Probably from 2018 as the exposed linkage looks great.

I see some 50/50 finance deals, and these don’t seem to depreciate that much. Is that the case.

Do we ever get motivated Lotus dealers on here?

Thanks,

zasker

Probably better off posting this on SELOC, some official dealers post and also a couple of private dealers who source cars for customers.

You’ll find dealers on SELOC and The Lotus Forums for sure.

50/50 is only for new cars.

Second hand will be better for depreciation, of course.

Exposed gear linkage is pretty, but older cars are pretty good. I can say for sure that a 2015 is as good as the newer gearbox. Having had both.

Don’t be afraid of older cars. There’s not much to go wrong with them. Obviously newer cars are just, well, newer and will have some improvements to build quality and less rattles and squeaks.

They’re cheap to maintain, so will mostly be looked after. Look out for damaged ones.

They’re great cars. Good luck with the hunt. A good time to buy. I can recommend Bell & Colvill as I’ve had personal experience with them. But other dealers have great reputations too, including independents.
