Hello boys! I have just (April 05) bought an 04 model 111s from Nick Whale. Everything was fine (well fantastic actually!!) until yesterday when I noticed that when I pull away the timing dips alarmingly, almost like its gonna stall. I havent stalled (thank god, imagine how amusing White Van Man who's pulled up next to / behind me, will have if I stall it at the lights!) as I have caught it in time so far. Any ideas? is this serious? should I return it to Nick Whale to get them to look at it? Any comments from you fellas would be appreciated.

Hi Jackie
Cjheck out this thread from Morpheous the other day. It's an easy fix and should clear up your problem

And well done on your choice, though i may be biased a little (see my profile)!

Wow, thanks for the fast response. I will try it tonight and let you know if it works. Great colour car, by the way. I wonder if I should have gone for something other than invisible "metallic tarmac". Great, the sun's just come out in tmie for my drive home from work.

hello there D4V KC

i thought i was told by some on the forum that i should not adjust this screw and that it might be the air control value which was causing the problem, because i am not to sure i am taking it to merrits tomorrow morning to get it checked out.

IACV perhaps?

If you're at all worried give them a call and seek advice from one of the technicians. If necessary take the car back and have them give it a once over.

They're a reputable dealership (mustard works there and posts on here) and I'm sure they'll rectify it to your satisfaction.

Any tinkering you do might invalidate any warranty you have on the car so better to be safe than sorry.
