Hi everyone , I have an 07 Europa S and it needs new tyres front and rear unfortunately I cannot get 175-55-R17 front and 225-45-R17 rear in the same tread pattern . Bridgestone make the correct tyre for the front but not in the same tread pattern for the rear. I was wondering if any of you Europa S owners out there have found a solution that works well and does not upset the cars handling

Most of the Europa owners I know have changed the front wheels to wider ones and are running 195/205 at the front.

AD08R if you can find them or AD08RS if you can’t.

Plus don't let anyone tell you AD08R are bad in the wet. They aren't . Run them on three mid engined cars, Elise S2, MR2 G-Limited and MR2 Mk3 Turbo. Amazing tyres.

Well everything's relative isn't it? They're pretty good for such an aggressive tread pattern but they're no Uniroyal Rainsports or Eagle F1s.

You will find a set of Bridgestones in the same tread pattern - I did last year from BlackCircles - took me 3 months, and I pounced immediately, rather than wait.

There is stock out there, and around 1 year old as well - so they're still making them, mostly for the older (but more in numbers) VX220.

You've just got to be patient.

Otherwise, switch as others have said.

AD08R is a sport tyre so not designed for the rain but still OK.

It’s just the AD08RS that are poor. To meet EU fuel economy they have made them deliberately harder. Confirmed by Yokohama.

The AD08R is still available in other markets but not EU sadly.
