New car + question 3dr gear

Hello,

Sun is shining, roof is off aaahhhhh the summer is starting and I have my elise....:driving:

Handling is superb, car is in progress in finition, brake pedal is strange but OK

Only point is a slight krunch when engaging 3rd gear the few first miles. Is the temp of the transmission oil so quickly important or ist it a "TADTS"?

hi there - the gear box on my R is similar to a transit until it's warmed up, works great after though! i think they also get better with a few thousand miles use as well... i've not encountered any crunch in 3rd gear?

Hi guys

Yep had the same problem myself, Lotus field engineer said that it would go away after a few 1000 mile's and it has, still a little difficult to get into 3rd sometimes but on the whole great deal better.

I also had a slight judder on pull away but I now just rev it a little harder which also takes care of this
