Hi all, I’m looking at a yellow lotus 380 sport. It’s for sale currently through an independent so I’m doing some research.

It has 1 owner and its registration is oddly Aberdeen one, there is no dealer there, closest being Leven in Edinburgh who don’t know the car.

It was traded into a Porsche centre then passed onto a specialist to sell.
I’m looking for either the original owner or info on the car as to it’s condition / history and any issues it’s had?

Any help would be appreciated. Just find it slightly odd that it was first registered outside of the lotus group unless it’s had an original plate change.

Thanks

Could have been first registered on a personal plate, and an Aberdeen plate applied once that was retained.

Ok thanks. Yes, a good suggestion.

No one seems to know about the car on here... Any issues with the 380's over the 350's or 410's I should know about?

I'm in Aberdeen and I don't recall ever seeing this car.

Might be worth asking the question here … https://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/index.php

I think this was for sale by the owner on the facebook group, think it's called v6 owners club or something.

Send the chassis number to Lotus and ask about the history?
I don’t know the car but have seen the advert, if it all checks out then that’s a cracking car for the money.
Anything on HPI?

Thank you for the replies. Yes, it has less than 6 months warranty hence some digging is needed as it’s not for sale through lotus. I’ll send them the chassis number.
Many thanks

Did some digging and there were some issues with the car apparently. Not sure what but could well be why it wasn’t sold privately.

Hi, do you know what these issues were? Where did you find out about the issues?

It’s disappeared off auto trader so sold....?

Priced much fairer than the other 380’s for sale from main dealers. The only other 380 I’ve seen sell in the last few months was a stunning blue one with 800 miles on the clock which sold after the price was dropped to 55k. Not as much carbon as the yellow one.

55k is fair. 65k when they were 67k new isn’t.
Upside is that they will hold their value very well so you’ll lose little.

Yep its back up again. Something not quite right somewhere and info hard to extract.
Would take a leap of faith for me so not risking it, same as Dan.

Hi Guys. Just seen this post and am looking at a 380 sport for sale and am very interested or was until read this post!

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Not quite sure what would be massively wrong with car that if checked out by a specialist wouldn’t be found? Excuse my ignorance of Exiges so maybe completely missing the point?

If car still under warranty then could I not check with Lotus if all ok?

Any advice appreciated as definitely don’t want to be buying something that proves unsellable down the road.

Thanks in advance.

Really happy. Just had car delivered and looks stunning with all the carbon. Pleased to say the logbook confirms it’s NOT a press car and is a 1 owner vehicle. I’ve got full service history and all receipts so just wanted to clear this up for future ref when I sell the car.
