Hi, i am a very happy owner of lotus S, i am with the car 5 years and a lot a lot of good moments, when i drive the car on the montains a b roads is like a dream, i have been traveling arround europe every year, the last year we cross europe and arrive to Estambul i ususally do with more sports cars (porsches, ferrari, lamborguinis.. almost 50 cars) and i am the only lotus!! smile at the beguining was little hard be with thems but when i put the komotec kit 430.... the car was other, and in the montain now they need to do hard for follow me!! But 5 years is a lot, may be is time to change?? I am from Spain (sorry for me english) and here is not a lot of "lotus culture" but now open a lotus service near my city and speaking with the dealer we speak about the lotus exige, that is the real philosophy of lotus! Im hapy with my evora, but may be a exige can be more special? More lotus?? The only way to know is test it! Next weekend i will be in uk and i am going to rent a one exige 350, in https://sportshire.co.uk/routes/#.XY0s-vTtbqv
And i think that will be decisibe to compare with my evora, i will tell you how it was....
I will apreciate any coments or may be meet some one who was in my place before....

Thanks all and we keep in touch.

Excellent! - I'll look forward to hearing what you think about it!

Thanks for the link to the sports car hire too. I might give that a go myself.

Good luck with the drive, I’d recommend dropping into Lotus Silverstone if you are close, they usually have a good selection of stock and are very knowledgable, see if you can get a drive in a 410 Exige, the suspension / tyre / wheel combination transform the way it drives.
Worth dropping in here if you are passing as well:

Wow, your road trips sound epic!! And don't worry about your english.... it is certainly better than my Spanish!smile

I would agree with the above that the exige 410 is the sweet spot of the modern exiges, but also test drive the evora gt410. The newer evoras are much more focused dynamically than the the older ones, whilst still being large enough and comfortable enough to do long distances in... They are both special cars though, so you can't go wrong with either. I would suggest you think about how you use your car. if you do lots of track days, then exige. If you do only road trips, then I would recommend the evora. But definitely drive them both!

Btw, there are some fantastic roads around where you are renting the lotus from... enjoy!smile

Had the chance to drive Exige Cup 430 back to back with an Evora GT430 and an Exige 410 today on roads around Silverstone

No doubt the Evora is the best for mainly road use , very composed on undulating broken roads with plenty of performance and very quiet

The 2 Exiges were very similar in their road manners and similar in noise. Both coped well with the poorer roads and on the better ones the Cup felt much quicker at accelerating than the Evora which actually felt about the same as the Exige 410.

You certainly feel the additional weight of the Evora under Hard acceleration but still a fine fast car.

If you can stretch to it I would say the Cup 430 is the best as loses nothing on road to the 410, has all the toys and on track unbeatable

Now i am in the bar of the hotel in some where in Gales, i have been driving the exige from 10am and i did today like 200km! I am destroy! But happy, here my experience of today:
At the biggining i feel not very good with the car, here all the people drive in the wrong side (the left) for change the gears also in the wrong side (left again) the weather is not the best (cloudy and wet) the car very noisy, the steering wheel hard..... but in some where i was driving, was a "clack" and then the magic appears... the car was a apart of my body... in the evora when i drive is imposible not to smile, but in the exige.... spiky hairs!!! Is not joking, i was near of cry!!! This car is other level, i just compare my lotus evora s with 430hp, this exige have 350, i can not imagine with more than 400...
Is very very hard to drive this car, you can not take out the hands 1sg, need to be focus all the time, i cant imagine how is to do and european tour of one week and 3.000km.......
But i want to discover it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Definitely I WILL CHANGE FOR EXIGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha! Excellent! Love your enthusiasm! I also like the fact that even though you were destroyed after 200km, and admitting it is not great for EU trips, you are still going to get the exige! Brilliant!
