Starting problem

I've got an intermitent starting problem on my S2 Elise which only ever happens when the car is warm, usually shortly after shorter journeys (<5 miles). The car will fire but then immediately cuts out. I can hear the fuel pump working when the ignition is switched on and (rather obviously as it fires) the starter motor works. Usually leaving the car for ~30 mins will see it be able to start again. I have tried resetting the ECU but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Any ideas gratefully recieved?

You can't reset the ecu on the S2, its automatic, that'll be why it doesn't make any difference.

(ECU reset ignition on, 5 slow, full depressions of the accelerator only applies to S1)
