1. There is a cover for use when the car is parked:

Also there is a tonneau cover for single seat:
https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?TBL=11816&amp...

The tonneau doesn't completely prevent water but way better than with a standard screen.

2. 3-11 will be significantly faster than a Cayman GT-4

I'm tempted by the car due to the lack of weight and Exige levels of power, but thinking a long trip to a track would be a bit of a pain, expecially if it's raining?

Do you usually trailer your car to a track day?

I drive mine to the track, wherever that may be. It's part of the experience but sometimes you need a fair bit of commitment and the right gear (heated jacket, waterproof motorbike suit and sailing luggage).
I drove to Spa from the North of Scotland at the start of April and it was great at times but also saw heavy rain, hail and lightning. Even snowed on the way home from Hull and was bitterly cold.
In contrast the drive to and from Knockhill over Glenshee on Thursday was sublime.

A towcar and trailer would be nice at times but they are a compromise and expense to consider.
