I've managed to ground the front of my carbon splitter at low speed and pulled the rubber 'skirt' off it's fixings.

What's the consensus on paying the dealer to put it back on with new plastic fixings or just running the car without it (it looks way better with the carbon splitter without the 1" rubber strip below it)?

In the real world it will make next to no difference, and whilst they are great on track for a road car, they are still along way off a race car...and if you prefer the looks, then it`s a no brainer!

Does it protect it? It may act as a cushion against speed humps etc, its there for a reason i'm guessing!

It’s function is to create low pressure. If you don’t need every gram of downforce I would leave it off. I’ve repaired mine three times and it’s just useless for the road TBH.

That was my thought too.

At some point I'll put it back on but think I've lost, or broken, some of the plastic screws that hold it on. Do you know where I can source some more?
