Hi. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the standard cylinder head, and the 160 cylinder head? Is it just ported better, or are the valves bigger?
I am able to swop heads for on eof these, and want to know if it is worth it.
Thanks.

its lightly ported - as per the 135 head or the PTP140 head...it makes the power by using hotter cams

You guessed it! Thought it would be a try. With some porting, proper cam and veniers, I might make 175-180bhp...

Would you use the stock short engine for this kind of power?

I will use stock bottom end, but balanced. This will reduce the internal stresses and allow me to achieve more power without changing the pistons.

Depends on how much power you are after, but £800 for a new flowed and ported head will gain you upto 30bhp, add some cams and vernier pulleys for another £300 to make a 40BHP improvement....
