Failed MOT engine warning NOT on at all

I’m a bit stumped here,
My Elise 111r 2006 failed it’s mot today.
Because the engine warning light doesn’t come on.
Not sure why perhaps a bulb behind the dash or a fuse
But asking here in case it’s a fault people are aware of, it’s hard to google as it just brings up people with engine warning lights on!

I’m gonna reply to myself to keep track of it!

When turning the immobiliser off sometimes that continues to beep x2 and the. The light stays on as it should, so I know it’s not a fuse or a bulb at least.
