Just a theoretical question going round my head...

how much power do you think the thing could take before becoming unpleasant?

I have read much of the Honda CTR engine conversion which sounds fab.

Then i read an article about supercharging the Honda CTR engine to 326bhp iirc.

then I thought put the 3 together:

Elise + Honda CTR engine + supercharger

and you could have a blindingly quick car with incredible handling for about £25 large ones!!

Or am I just being stoopid again?

Not sure on the S1 chassis but the S2 in VXT form seems ok with around 300bhp, I can't see why more would be a problem provided the weight distribution was relatively normal and the suspension was setup acordingly. A set of Nitrons, wider front tyres and Yokos would see it stick like shit to a blanket I imagine!

its not how much power can it handle its how much power can give it optimal useable performance. a lot of cossies/evos/skylines are overpowered and for this reason spoilt. i think if a honda elise can pip a murcielago round a track...its.....

fast enough.

an Elise GT1 runs about 600bhp - ..that should be enough.

a 200bhp Elise is a quick car, 250bhp is very quick, 300bhp is very very quick

my car was 230bhp, but will soon be back with 300bhp. Its not really the chassis you have to worry about..its the rear tyres etc - they are still 225 wide.........

Bogie, just had a nosey at your motor on your website and it looks superb. Those side pods are excellent, where did you get them from?? Cheers
