having a few probs with my 54 plate 111R, clutch slips when pulling away from junctions/roundabouts. Dealers and field engineers are reluctant to diagnose without road test and stripping whilst engineer is present. Does this suggest lots of previous failures due to misuse, or is this one of the first failures of the 111R clutch?
Any experience or thought on this one?

Sorry to hear about your problem.

The clutch in mine hasn't done this, and I've not heard anything about a similar problem on a widespread basis (unlike the stalling or metallic rattle issues). Sounds like something might be borked on your car

The only complaint I have heard about with the 111r's clutch is judder on pull-away, but this is resolved by more revs and putting a few more miles on the clock to fully run everything in.

looks like it is just mine with this problem. Field engineer is to inspect it in the next couple of weeks so will keep you all posted with my progress.

I thought mine was iffy, but it cleared.

Used to kangaro in reverse and was grabby/slippy in traffic.

Dealer said it was normal, but would get better.

It got better.

Probably not, mine got better after the first 1500-miles.

Good luck with the field chap!
