I just bought some Meguires Wheel cleaner and it does the job nicely. Admittedly I haven't got black wheels, just normal alloy colour but it really cleaned them up well. I didn't even need to resort to much brushing, just spray on, leave for 15 seconds or so and then spray off.

The exige handbook says not to use alloy wheel cleaner, dunno if i'd risk it... Get a small brush on the job!

tooth brush and soapy water then get a wheel wax.

I sometimes use auto glym super resin polish on the tuscan wheels to give them a good shine. might try that?

I'm not sure I'd put polish on the black Exige wheels as they are more of a satin finish. So far I have just relied on regular washing with water with a bit of car shampoo in and that his brought them up nicely. I thinking regular cleaning before too much brake dust builds up is going to be the key.

Thanks guys, i dont allow brake dust to build up for more than 2 days. maybe im just getting used to the wheels, i use car shampoo on them and thats all. perhaps if i balck the sidewalls a little it may help.
Thanks again. blooming lovely down here in devon now the roads have dried out.

Just had to share this.....

I used to clean my ferrari engine bay with diluted Cif and a damp cloth to wipe off.

Then tried using it on the exhaust etc. Unbelievable product that brought everything back to 'brand new' showroom condition.

I would try this on your wheels with a bit of elbow grease.

I stopped using wheel cleaner after I found it made my brakes act worse for a few miles afterwards. I think it was the spray residue that hit the disc that did it.
