Evening all,

My S1 Exige project is currently seat-less and i've got my eye on a set of Tillett's for it.

I'm of the more generous physique - 6ft 3" and 'rugby prop forward build' * so ideally want to be sat as low down and far back as I can to give maximum headroom / legroom.

I see that the B5 seat is designed with the Elige in mind and that people talk of issues with the gearstick / centre console clearance with a pair of full width B6 / B6Fs. Gearstick and centre console clearance isn't as issue as they won't be there - i'll be on paddleshift smile

Anybody got any first hand feedback on which model I should focus my efforts on? I'm planning on going to sit in each of the models before I part with any hard earned - but i'd be keen to know how that translates once they're out the showroom and in the car!

I'm right at 6' and my son is 6' - 3" also... so I had to make my own seat rails.

Here is what I have done...

6ft 3 and I have B5's they are perfect.

The issue with the B5 and B6 is if you run them on the existing runners in order to maintain the sliders. It puts us tall people too high up.

You need to use the Tillett fixed mounts and they get you low enough and perfect for me.

Feel free to pop over and have a sit in mine if you are anywhere near me?

p.s I'm looking for another one if anyone has one for sale?

Thank you for the offer - sadly i'm in Essex so it's a bit far to 'pop' smile

Interesting reading on the other links - thanks for that guys. Good to see that people are fitting into them!

I put a B5 in my S2 111r (with a harness bar fitted). I am just a tad under 6' and found I couldn't get enough legroom, so I had to raise the rear to enable the seat to go back more, but I felt like I was being tipped forward (and I felt I was slipping forward under hard braking). I ended up selling it and picking up a Probax 'sport' seat (with harness holes).
It may work for you, but try it before splashing out like I did!

I had a pair of CF B5's, they were a thing of beauty, very well made and highly desirable.

I did find that they were not particularly comfortable, the angle of the seat was weird and whilst harnesses look the part, they are a MASSIVE pita and make turning out of oblique junctions dangerous.

Now sold!

I have a Tillett B6 on the fixed sidemounts in my Exige V6 Cup. Seating position is nice and low and the seat is a work of art and super supportive. Highly recommended.
