111S or 111R (sorry)
Discussion
I'm sure this has probably been done to death but which should I buy? An S or an R? I have been in a s1 exile many years ago and loved it. A mate took me for a spin in his 54 plate S again a few years ago now. But knowing me if I buy an S I will want to have the power of the R. I just wonder if a tuned S would end up being a better car than an R 04-06 redg models. I'm thinking the R would command more money when it was time to move it on. I'm not that familiar with Lotus yet so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What about an S tuned to make more power than an R? I know what I'm like and will end up wanting more.
Drive them both, for track work yes you may want more power. I have never really wanted for more power on the road in any of the Elise I've had. Geometry, tyres and brakes are the best performance modification on an Elise. They are not about bhp numbers.

Is that a rover engined car?
Elise and Elise 111s are rover k series. Elise S and Elise R are Toyota.
K series has a pair of widely spaced exhaust exits either side of the rear plate and no ABS.
Toyota powered cars have a pair of exhausts together under the rear diffuser.
