Hi, yes another owner here. Congratulations on the purchase - they are very special machines. I rarely use mine, and certainly don't use it as intended, but I enjoy fact that I have the privilege of owning it. They have loads of character and that shines through even if you are pottering around in it. Enjoy!

I know what you mean. Mine has only done 2600 miles!Good morning everybody.
Many thanks for all the replies….I have joined the FB group after reading & it looks to be really useful.
I have bought no. 279 & it will be living in the wonderful world of Essex…at least initially, when it arrives. I know the basics of the car having had an Elise S1 many years ago, & as an automotive design consultant. Both myself & my company have worked for Lotus in the past & I knew many of the development team. I also spoke to a friend who runs a company setting up/tuning/racing Lotus’s about what to look for etc.
The car has only done about 500 miles in 10 years getting to just over 8K miles….it appears to be standard in pretty well all respects apart from a racing Batt….& is running it original 177BHP kit I think.
Thanks once again…& hope I can bump into some of you in the future.
Regards Marco

Hi Marco,
Welcome! A very special car indeed, I've had mine for over 14 years! A few of us owners meet up at Goodwood Kennels for breakfast every now and again. Next is Sun 4th June/ we are trying to get an area for a few of us at the Breakfast Club (Soft-top Sunday). Register on the Goodwood site, and check details on the FB group. All welcome, we are trying to beat the number of R's together, Our Japanese colleagues hold that record! A couple of weeks to dust them all off! All welcome!

Thanks for the info – I do know that it has had the same owner for 9-10 years and has done little mileage – apart from that, it appears to be factory ! Not sure what else has been done. I still have not got it as it needed a new screen & they have taken a week or so to get one. After speaking to Steven Guglielmi (Knew him well in his Tuscan days) he suggested I should check the cam belt also…so a new one is being fitted also. He also has some fixes for VHPD issues.
Regards Marco
