Can anyone tell me about the Exige 255 cup?
Discussion
As per the title of the thread i am looking for details on the Exige 255 cup cars and more specifically this one: https://www.racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/7914...
A good friend is on the lookout for a car for track days and in the future racing. The above car has caught his eye and it appears advert is fairly comprehensive.
I was hoping that someone maybe able to share the history of the 255 cup cars as I haven't seen many for sale. Does anyone know this car specifically; has it been crashed, reliable and dare I say successful? Has anyone got feedback on the spec and anythings to look for when viewing the car?
Thanks
Dan

The advert says that it raced in the CSCC "New Millenium" series in 2016 - have a look at the results on the TSL web site. Of course, lap times alone don't tell the whole story as the car could have been driven by a driving God or a muppet, who knows!
The New Millenium series covers about 8 x 40 min pit stop races each season and driving standards are generally pretty good, so less frenetic than a 15 min sprint race which actually helps with condition.
Speak to Richard Chamberlain at CTR Developments - the advert says that he looked after it, and has raced his own Elise variant in Britcar so knows how these types of cars should be on track.
