S1 up grade?

Looking to up grade with 52mm throttle body and Hurricane.
Can anybody give me an idea of prices?
Would a Rover dealer/supplier be cheaper than a lotus specialist for the throttle body?

Hurricanes are about £160 IIRC, Mt 52mm TB was about £120 from the now defunct Racespeed.

I think you can get them directly from Rover for about £85 now though.

Fitted an induction kit (£100) last year and an alloy throttle body on Saturday, both are good upgrades with the throttle body (£140) really smoothing out the response, i.e. not so on/off.
My wife has the same on her Elise except for an uprated exhaust that really sounds the bad-boy.

If you're concerned about the cash side, try the 52mm throttle body with a 57i K&N Air filter kit. You can get them on Ebay for about £50 delivered. For the throttle body, try mg centre who specialise in MGF parts, they can supply them for about £80... website is www.mgcentre.co.uk

I have the K&N and the 52mm throttle just fitted, great noise and certainly given it a little bit extra at the higher revs..... my otherwise standard S1 (Janspeed exhaust also) will now rev easily to 6500 in 4th where as before is got a little weazy at 6000!
