CALLING ALL 111s owners

When i get my 111s Elise in the new year, could you give me some advice on which cars to race from the lights and which 1's not to?

Would be interested to find out.

I can only assume you are talking the piss. Why the hell would you want to race people from traffic lights? It's a bit sad isn't it....

I have a 111S and the only cars I will race from the lights are Novas, Kas, Astras and of course Saxos.

Yesterday I had a run with a Q plated tuned 2.0i astra turbo gte style thing - don't know what its output was but on an open dual carriageway off a roundabout we both went for it... close in fact - distance stayed the same - I hit 7,200 revs in first three gears and high power gear changes too...


All good fun - we smiled and waved at the next rndabout - I thought i might catch him - but this appears to be a full spec car...

Nothing could be further from the truth .... I save it for track days normally - and have *nothing* to prove on the road.

i just hadn't driven the elise for two weeks - so was giving it an italian tune up...
