S2 1ZZ Exhaust and induction
Discussion
I'm on a roll right now after neglecting the Elise for the past few years.
Its in for some much needed body work repairs, hard top and new engine cover (for my latest attempt at building a luggage rack).
I want a bit more power also. I had a brief conversation with Matt from Monkeywrench last night with regards about an upgrade. To be honest I got the feeling it would be a lot of money for very little power gains.
So I decided today that Lottie needs a new exhaust, decat and from what I read a panel filter (TRD)?
I'm having problems with finding a supplier for the parts. I've budgeted myself 500 quid for both (not including tax and delivery).
Everything seems to be geared towards the 2zz. Whatever I get isn't going to make a massive difference to the power so may as well have an exhaust which is at least a bit lighter and noisier.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

2bular 8" back box and the Lotus TRD airbox.
Alternatively I had a Larini Sport on my 1zz S and it was great.

I've ordered the 2bular 7" back box with slanted tips. The guy Jim who makes them was very informative.
I was tempted by the Larini but the waiting list is too long.
Turns out the 2bular is the only exhaust specifically designed for the 1ZZ. I'm quite excited about getting strapped on, will be like a new lease of life.
I'll sort out the TRD airbox on Monday.
With any luck I'm hoping for an extra 3-4bhp with the mods....

Hi, I bought the 2bular 1zz manifold cat and 7inch silencer best exhaust ever for the 1zz can't recommend enough power gains quite noticeable, it's not untill you remove standard manifold that you realise how restricted the flow was. Jim is incredable busy and not the best communicator but trust me when I say it's worth the wait. Brum brum
