Passenger airbag disabling on S3 Elise

Has anyone had a dealer either turn the passenger airbag off completely or make it switchable and if so can you please state where and how much?

I'm on the verge of buying a S3 Elise and I'd like to have the option of turning the passenger airbag for when my 2.5 year old comes in the car in a stage 1 forward facing car seat.

I spoke with my nearest dealer this morning (Oakmere Lotus, Northwich) and they said it's not something they would want to do.
