These are details of the 26 numbered UK cars I have to date.

1967 - Yellow - ChrisR
1970 - Yellow - Rick101
1972 - Blue - PNicholls
1973 - Yellow - For Sale B&C
1976 - Blue - John_w
1981 - Blue - For Sale Williams
1982 - Blue - Paul Wright
1984 -Yellow - R3000XXX
1987 - Blue -
1997 - Blue -
2007 - Blue - Lotus71

In Addition
000 - Yellow - Exported to Japan (original promo car)
001 - Blue - Cup spec car

I swapped my Elise for an Exige Sprint earlier this year. Very pleased with it, they are fantastic cars. I'm always interested when I see one on the various forums and keen to talk to owners but I have never seen one on the road.
Hopefully some at LITP this weekend.

Is there a Sprint Register anywhere? As there are not that many around it would be quite nice to know how many remain and where about's they are.

The Bumpf said 40 cars, year dated excluding 1982.
So far I have been informed 1982 does exist and there were a number of cars made for Europe and Japan over and above the 40.

Would be great to hear from any owners.

Thanks

Rick

My old one (which was 1982 - car didn't have any number allocated to it when I bought the car from @L100NNY in his old job and Lotus didn't read the marketing bumpf when I asked for one to be allocated) and new one together:

New one on its own once the gold wheels went on (which I think make the car!):

Saw 1982 yesterday and had a chat with owner. He was very pleased with the car. Looks well. Upgraded Intercooler I think?

And the rest! I spend loads modifying 1982, while I had it it had a baffled sump, uprated engine mounts, 260 map ad well as the Intercooler, uprated rear toe links, new air conditioning pipes, 2bular work of art exhaust and no doubt some other things which I have now forgotten!

The Elite above is not an official sprint in the same way that my V6 is not. Mine is a full factory paint job, I'm not sure about the Elise.

The elise is just stickers not a sprint, done by the dealer. They were about to take the stickers off as no one seemed to want it then on the day i bought it someone else came in saw the sold sticker and left.

Can post more photos if you still want, didn't mean to dupe anyone into thinking it was a real sprint elise.

I'm quite tempted by the yellow sprint for sale at the Lotus dealer Leeds - does anyone know anything of it's history?

The mileage is a little off-putting, but it seems that its done 13k miles since May last year so at least you would expect any problems to be ironed out.

If you go up to see it can you check what anniversary year is on the build plate?

Did view it previously but forgot to take note of it.

Standard car if I recall correctly. Price now is more realistic than the 28K they originally had it listed for.

I don't suppose anyone knows the whereabouts of number 1978?

That's my birth year, it would be the ultimate.

Unfortunately had a change of PC since I started the register.
I may have left some information on SELOC. Have a browse there and you may find some info.
