Europa: Good purchase or not?
Discussion
Hi guys
I am interested in the following car. Does anyone know the car, can advise if this is a good purchase or not, thoughts on price and what to look for buying advice etc etc?
All thoughts appreciated and my thanks in advance.

Hi,
I've got one exactly the same as that one. I love the car, but it is my first Lotus, so can't comment how it is vs. an Elise or Exige.
I don't know any history of that car, however you could ask on our Facebook page :
Lotus Europa S/SE 121- Owners group -LEO Group

Ive had 2 elise s's a 1.8 and a 1.6 and a europa s.
Cant tell you if the advertised one is a good one as cannot follow the link, ownership wise i would say it depends on what you want from the car.
If you want a track car get the europa as with a few changes they are similar to an exige for handling.
If you want a weekend car and would remove the roof get an elise, if your not bothered get the europa.
If you want an immediate response and pure driving get the elise.
In my old europa which was standard ecu there is a pause in the power delivery at around 4k, im assuming your looking at the grey one with 225 upgrade which im led to believe is better.
As before the facebook page is great and to be honest either way you will end up with a cracking car that costs peanuts to run.

Thanks Richard,
Were you at the gathering at Brooklands on new years day. If so I have a couple of photos which I can post here or I can pm them to you if you prefer ?
How long have you had your car and what has your ownership experience been like thus far?

I see you are on our Facebook page and that the car has now gone.
It was not me at Brooklands.
I've had the car for 1.5 years, use it at the weekends and went down to Northern Italy in it last year and just love it. No issues with the car.
