I have built a new engine for my Liz which will be putting in the car next weekend. To get a "before and after" comparison I did a few quarter mile runs using my GTech Pro performance meter. Below is the average figures from 3 runs.

0-60: 5.29secs
Qtr Mile: 14.02 secs @ 100.2 mph

Can't wait to see how the new engine performs.

Hi Dan

what have you decided to drop into your liz? is it a tuned K series or a bit more radical?

I'm interested to know for a few reasons, firstly I'm in the market for some work on my S1 Elise, next DVA power is a real hike from South Shields and lastly if anything goes wrong I would like the garage/workshop to be local and not at the far end of the country!

I have been looking at the PTP RT-Sport kit (165ps) and the DVA K13 kit, which is essentially a big valve head & cams, but I was gonna add an Emerald and verniers to this for a more overall rounded package.

Let me know what your up to, and what kind of packages your offering, oh and prices would be nice too. Nice to see we have someone local to call upon other than F1 Lotus!

Interested to know how much effort/time/cost to get to those figures over the standard and what you did to it.

Some say that kind of performance increase can be got from Hurricane, decat and sports 'zorst without the need to rebuild!!

Possibly those figures could but I would say that this is not an ideal indication of the performance of my new engine. Just a quick comparison.

Believe me, the difference between standard and now is significant and you most certainly would not see the same gains from bolt-on upgrades.

I'm not one for all this "pub talk" bhp nonsense but I would be very surprised if this engine wasn't making close to 160bhp.

You certainly don't get that from a hurricane, zorst, etc.
