Elise starter motor / ignition switch
Discussion
Hi, I wonder if someone might have any thoughts on the following issue I have with my Elise. The car is a std 2003 K series.
Basically it won't start. When the ignition is turned, everything primes, but on the next turn to start......nothing. AA have diagnosed no power coming back from the ignition switch, to the starter motor. The car can be started by removing the lower spade connection to the starter motor from the ignition, and powering from a wire from the + on the battery.
I've cleaned up the lower spade connection, to ensure good connection, to no avail.
I have had this problem before, sorted during a service visit.
Now, oddly, on both occasions this has happened, I had put the car on trickle charge, for about a week, on a conditioner, rather than the usual practice of charging for a few hrs when not being used. Is there any chance that a fuse in the circuit might have blown, or a relay damaged ? Also, and probably nothing to do with it, the radio has stopped working.
Thanks
