The brake pipes at the rear of my 2001 S2 are very corroded so I'm going to make up some new ones and replace them, along with the flexi hoses. Looking under the car, the rigid pipes disappear off under the sill covers to God-knows-where. Somewhere they must meet in the midline of the car and connect to a single line running rearwards from the master cylinder, but where is this three-way connector and how do I access it? Is it beneath the panel (the one the 8 big round holes in it) that covers the fuel tank? I want to avoid any unnecessary dismantling looking for the thing! Thanks.

I did manage to replace the hard brake lines and remember having to remove the fuel tank to do it. I think. It was a long time ago.
