Sounds like pony if you ask me unless there's something I don't know about bedding in clutch-plates or some other nonsense.

I'm sure ragtop fergusd or one of the other lads who know the greasy bits better than I will have something to say.

yeah, my 111r has 1400 mls on the clock, and if I am a bit lazy with the clutch it does judder at low/tickover revs. I have adjusted my style a bit to increase the revs on pulling off, to 1500 or so, and this clears the problem. But I was a bit concerned at first, and just accepted that my driving style was to blame.

Judder in the transmission (would probably feel shunt like), or more that the revs kinda die as you release the clutch and put the power down?

I'm not sure either ? I had a specialist look at it before I took it in to be serviced and he said that it didn't feel right either, they said that they had the Lotus field engineer have a test drive, he said that he couldn't find any fault's ? I think I'm going to ask them to put in writing that if the clutch goes just after warranty that there going to replace it, also just test drive there demo to see if it's the same ? very strange that a New Car with the latest engine doe's this thou ?

Yeah I'd ask to testdrive a couple of demo cars. I've only driven the s2 exige, and did find the bite point to be a slightly unfamiliar place and also a bit grabby which made me feel clumsy pulling away.

It could just be that engaging that disengaging clutch puts more load on the engine which bogs it down a bit. If more revs fixes the issue, that would probably support the idea.

Really hard to describe this type of thing though, and if the dealer thought it felt on and the demo cars are different, you need to stick to your guns with Lotus. To be fair I'm sure they get a lot of ill informed moaning, but if you are persistent they should sort it ok. I had the dash replaced on my s2 out of warranty because they used crap glue that generated air bubbles under the alcantara, so they can be ok about things!

Hi Guy's

Thanks for all your Input Mrs Boggy has been on and off the phone all day to Lotus customer service. she's also spoken to the Lotus Field Engineer he drove the Demo as well as my car and it feel's exactly the same, he said that he'd told the dealer to let me test drive it to so I could see how it drives, just thought that I'd mention that if the clutch goes in the next couple of years it's down to them. They said that it's already been recorded so that's put my mind at rest anyway, can't wait to get her back I've missed it so much sad but true
