S3 Exige as a daily drive

Am looking to run an s3 exige as a daily drive. Not sure if it will be the coupe or soft top yet. Has anyone done this and how do the cars stand up to daily use? Anything I need to know? Cheers.
They would do but honestly I think you'd be better off with a daily driver. Do you really want to sit in traffic in your "fun car"?I love my Elise but I wouldn't want to use it as an every- day car, even with the hardtop fitted.
I think most owners that can afford it run an "everyday" car as well.
Mine is taxed all year and is out most weekends but I can't imagine driving it through the winter Ice, snow, salt rain etc. day in day out.
Heated seats and steering wheel win hands down for me every time.

Thanks for the posts. I have several other German and Italian toys so this wouldn't be the "weekend car" it would be the car I do my daily mileage in. My concerns are more around build quality and reliability. I can put up with something that can be a pain in traffic as long as it doesn't spend more time at the dealer than with me.
Having had my Exige V6 now for just over 1 year and approx. 5000 miles I've been using it as a daily driver and it been fine. The only time spent at the garage has been for its first service.
I'd say aircon is a must have as it will clear the screen in the winter very quickly. I'd recommend you go and have an extended test drive or an over night borrow of one during the week to test it in traffic etc.
Docile went you want it to be(so much torque)and instant responsive controls and chassis feedback for when you want some fun.

Thanks that's good to know. I will probably do circa 10k miles each year in it in a mixture of motorway and a and b roads. Good idea re the extended test drive, will see how agreeable my local dealer is to the idea.I'd say aircon is a must have as it will clear the screen in the winter very quickly. I`ve got an Exige S3 as my daily driver (nearly bought a Boxster, but thankfully I saw the light)...I have done 12000 miles plus in the last 6 months and it has been faultless. I am toying with reducing the use over winter time, but that is because I do long journeys every week and as much as I love every minute of driving the car, it is not always the best place to be on a dark winters night in heavy rain and strong winds, with heavy traffic over a longer distance. With the mileage you are considering, it will not be an issue...and as always, it is best to use a car if you want reliability. I also find that the running costs are quite reasonable...changed rear tyres at 9000 miles and fronts will be good for 18-20000 miles. You can pay too much at a main dealer for servicing, or half at a specialist. Fuel consumption is between 25-30mpg+, obviously depending upon how you drive it.
Oh yes, the roadster is faster...it is lighter (slightly) and has less drag...up to 145mph that is! Round a track where aero plays a part then obviously not.

Exige V6 is my daily driver and has been since June 2013 - the tyres (PZero Corsa) just don't work that well below 5 degrees, but it's not dangerous or un-driveable at this point - No Air Con for me, so the screen can take a couple of mins to clear when the overnight temps have flirted with zero, but that's my one and only gripe - Overall, it's easily the best road car I've driven.
