You might want to consider AD08R's for the rear, if price is a concern. A lot of people are now running AD08Rs on the rear and AD07s on the front. (AD08s arent available in standard front sizes)
Doesnt answer your Q regarding AD07s, but might offer an alternative.

IIRC AD08-r's are available in S1 front sizes, kind of irrelevant if you have a S2 though.

I ran 07s on the front and 08s on the rear after I needed new tyres and couldn't get rear 07s. They were fine.

I now have a set of Exige wheels which means I can run AD08Rs all round. Just a little bit grippy, it is.

if I remember correctly the 07 LTS has a more 'supple' sidewall due to the low weight of the car whereas the non-LTS one has a stiffer sidewall intended for normal weight cars, so only the LTS one is suitable really.

I have a mix of 07 and 08 on mine but I have forgotten which is where!

You can't get 08s in the standard Elise front size, so likely 08s on the back and 07s on the front.

Appropriate as I just replaced my rears yesterday. AD08's are discontinued and replaced with AD08R's. I paid £110 a corner fitted for 225/45/17's at our local tyre place.

Has anyone run a 205/50/R16 AD08 on the standard 5.5 inch front wheel of an S2 Elise? A 5.5 inch rim width is within Yokohama's recommended range for that tyre, but I've no idea how it'd drive having a tyre so much wider than the rim.

My Lotus dealer recommended that as the solution for my Exige if that helps. I've yet to take the plunge but no doubt it will happen shortly

The Exige front wheels are wider - I've got a set of Exige wheels on my Elise and am running AD08R all round.

Yes, the Exige wheels are wider and consequently end up with the tyre tread at a different offset relative to the wheel arch. I don't know if they'd foul on 5.5 inch wheels. I think it's also usual to run 205/45R16 on Exige wheels rather than 205/50R16? The 45s aren't suitable for 5.5 inch rims.

Yep, mine are 205/45/16 AD08R, though I think as standard the Exige comes with 195/50/16.

I bought two rear tyres earlier this year from Pneus Online - Yokohama Advan AD07 LTS. The price for the pair was roughly £200 cheaper than the prices quoted elsewhere. The tyres are sent from France - I've used this company a few times now and would recommend them. I'd also recommend this particular tyre - gives good grip even in very wet conditions.

Do Yokohama still actually make AD07s? If not, what's the date stamp on the ones still being sold?

They're still OEM on new Elises aren't they?

Just tried google translate on the page and it only works as far as the front page!

Did you get somebody who can read French to do the ordering?

Not sure which website you have found - but the correct one (in English!) is
tyres-pneus-online.co.uk. If you click on the link below it should take you to the page for the Advan Neova AD07 rear tyre.
