Anyone interested in some carbon fibre goodness?
Discussion
So I'm planning to get hold of some cf bits for the Exige from HKFever. I've heard a lot of good things about him and his parts and his prices seem very reasonable compared to some others.
He doesn't have a website strictly speaking but does have a site that shows his work. I'm ordering the wider carbon side pods, the side skirts and access panels in a few weeks but thought I'd throw it open to the wider PH community to possibly get some sort of group buy going as I believe he makes things in batches anyway.

Anyone interested in anything, let me know and I can look at prices but to give you an idea the wider side pods in pre-preg CF with mesh and fitting kit are 390USD shipped! There's a 35 day (ish) delay from when an order is placed to receiving the items also.

Be interested to hear how you get on.
I looked at their stuff before I did my interior refurb recently. I weighed up several CF parts suppliers and HK fever were one of the few that could offer all the parts I needed. Many of the others for example couldnt offer the C section of the dash. Seeing as I wanted the pattern matching, I decided against a mixed bag of suppliers and ended up dipping but might look to replacing these with the real deal.
Be interested to hear prices and how easily the importation process works out.

C-section around the front of the dash (old style)
Speaker panels (old style - air vent etc)
Door sills
Centre tunnel
Electric window switch surround (never seen anyone produce these in CF)
Steering column surround (top and bottom section)
I had the binnacle cover done but reflection was too much so had that and the door panels done in alcantara.

I like that. I'm wondering if I should dip my toe in with CF on the interior...it's a slippery slope. I did it with my old Tamora and ended up with a mix of bits in carbon and kevlar. Maybe just do the centre tunnel like the Scura...I dunno.
I'll ask the guy for some prices when I've had chance for a few more replies if anyone wants anything.

I was in 2 minds with the centre tunnel - alcantara or CF. A mate of mine is rebuilding his Exige at the same time as I am doing mine so we have collectively used a few suppliers and shared ideas etc. He went down the alcantara route and I must say that looks rather nice too.
I dont think you can go wrong either way. All I know is I thought the original interior looked very cheap to begin with - I've done my car the other way from you really. Mechanics, engine and suspension first, then interior and lastly I am now on with the exterior.

That's actually VERY reasonable. I am tempted.
I'm guessing the A post trim is priced for a pair. Steering column top part sounds disproportionately priced if its really only the tiny top section. Part 28 here? https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?TBL=5967&...
Door sills always strike me as quite a lot for very straight-forward shapes compared to things like the A pillars or steering column which are a lot more complex.
On the whole though, those prices are very competitive and I have only heard good things about the quality of his work.
I await with interest your progress. I've only just rebuilt mine so wont be making any changes immediately as I am now moving to the outside of the car but in due course..(yes, I am addicted!)
