Drove through Le Mans yesterday (Friday 04) on the way back from a camping holiday. The classic car event attracted loads of interesting cars. Impressed by all those that made the effort with such a wide selection of cars. One of the few times I felt myself dreaming of a different car. Like a boy in a toyshop, so many to choose from.

Anyway, saw a couple of Lotus convoys. Amongst them a very nice Elise S1 in yellow with black detailing. Also saw a couple of Caterham convoys which had me thinking. Looked great fun. Saw a UK plated Lotus seven in BRG parked up which looked very nice. (Should have stopped for a picture)

Saw an extremely nice French plated Evora in orange with black striping and detailing. Why is it they look so much nicer in the flesh. One of few cars for which a photo never seems to do it justice.

As for my holiday, I managed to pack two soft sports bags and my sons sports toys (rollerblades etc) into the car for a weeks camping so it is possible. Once again I was greatful for the aircon. When you're stuck in traffic with 28° and an eleven year old boy it makes things more comfortable.

Hope to see somme photos of the event.
