Hi all

I am in constant watch for exiges in the classifieds.

The below is similar to what I am after but I am unsure as to why it hasn't sold?

It has been for sale for a good while although I suspect the price maybe a little high. Is there anything else to look out for?

Thanks in advance

It looks magnificent to me. My budget was £25K when I bought mine. I'm really happy despite it not being one of my preferred colours at the time of purchase. If I'd got £31/32K this would definately have been on my list. For me, as you've said yourself, it's just a price thing. However, the seller can bide his time. I think its been for sale for around 4-5 weeks which is far from excessive in the price bracket. Probably at a premium because of the colour.

Just remember it doesn't go any faster.

My personal viewpoint that I've expressed before is that colour is emotive. Nearly all Exiges when well presented look the business. This car is no exception. What counts is the condition and history and the price.

It's underpriced. People are wary of cars that are too cheap to be true wink

Can't agree. Its a 2008 car at £33k. I've seen 2010 cars at that price. Notwithstanding, there are two or three very nice cars at the moment on PH. I like the JCT 600 car in Blue with the black stripes, and also the Exige Sprint by WB or the Exige sprint B+C. Can't go wrong with any of them as far as I can see.

Thanks for your advice

I am going to test drive some but they all seem so far away (from Preston).

Is there any dealers in Lancashire?

My top three at the moment. I wanted a Chrome Orange or Krypton Green when I was looking. Strangely enough any one of these would be my preferred choice. Which sums up the enigma. I ended up with a colour that I hadn't considered. Nevertheless, I adore mine. Just depends on your state of mind at the time. If your dream is an Exige, you'll love it whatever the colour. They all look great if they're presented well. They all look like sh.t when they're dirty or in poor condition, whatever the colour.

Absolutely true. I bought a 240S 2010 (S2.2 clams) for a good deal less than that. Private admittedly, but I have owned a couple of Elise/Exige and it had done only 10k so was willing to take that punt and save the cash.
