Selling advice
Discussion
So after nearly 2 years of fatherhood it has become clear that I just don't have time to drive my 2002 Elise S2.
I used to use the car as my everyday run around and so it has been parked on the road in London and shows it. Quite a few cracks and scratches in the paint work all round and some light damage to the front clam (seems even with reversing sensors idiots in 4x4s still can't a parallel park). Mechanically it is absolutely sound and I have had it serviced regularly.
So the question I have is - should I get it resprayed and try to sell it 'mint' or sell it as-is a little bit cheaper?
I have got some quotes on the re-spray and I think the economics work out quite close either way (although I have not seen any in the classifieds that are not mint so I am making an assumption on what I would get for it not done up).

arent the clams on these hideously expensive to repair/replace?
That if the cracks are not just paint chipping.
Seem to remember a friend being very unahppy when he had to get the clams replaced on his S2 at circa £600 each for 2nd hand jobbies. Thankfully the tool that hit him had to pay, but he didnt want the car written off or something, not sure why he went 2nd hand unless it was not declared and they just agreed to fix it.

Can't email you, not promising anything but I'm starting to think of an elise again, could you give me details of which elise it is please? I'm possibly willing to buy one that needs a bit of work as fancy a colour change anyway.
If you would prefer to get it sorted then fair enough and good luck with the sale.
