I have an S1 Exige race car with upgraded brakes which includes fitting of twin pot front calipers on the rear and i now wish to make the car road legal which includes fitting a handbrake. The adaptor plate that allows the twin pot calipers to be fitted has been welded to the hub carrier.
Anyone know how i can have a handbrake without getting replacement hub carriers ? Is there a handbrake caliper i can get as a replacement for the twin pot caliper ?
Any advice would be appreciated.

You could also fit the original rear callipers just as a handbrake but I suspect that the front callipers mount in the way of this. I know hi-spec did a handbrake calliper for them but I think they needed machining of the uprights... either way I don't think there'll be an easy bolt-on solution.

Lots on there have resolved this problem.

You will need an aftermarket Handbrake calliper and a spot of welding/machining.
